Body Located at Kelvin Grove Beach in Lions Bay

On January 13th, 2019 at 2:25 pm the Squamish RCMP received a call from a family member of Lorraine Prebushewski in Lions Bay. Ms. Prebushewski was last seen at 10:00 am on Sunday and left on foot from the home she was staying at on Kelvin Grove Way, and she had not not been seen since. Squamish RCMP, Lions Bay Search and Rescue, Coast Guard, and RCM SAR had conducted a large scale operation yesterday and throughout the day today.
At approximately 2:00 pm Squamish RCMP received a call from an off duty RCMP police officer regarding body he had located at Kelvin Grove Beach in Lions Bay. RCMP attended and were able to recover the body of a woman with the assistance of Lions Bay SAR. The body has been identified as belonging to Ms. Prebushewski. There does not appear to be anything suspicious at this stage but the Squamish RCMP will be assisting the Coroner's Service over to determine any investigative avenues.
